How to use this CD The CD is designed to give you short meditations of varying length to reduce stress at work and home. It contains soothing music, ocean waves, and instructions for relaxing mind and body. It can be used as a stress break, to reinvigorate yourself, a meditation, or a non-drug alternative to insomnia.
These meditations are best done while lying down, but can also be performed at work or home while sitting in a relaxed position with your eyes closed. A recliner can be helpful. Wait one hour after eating and loosen your clothing, particularly your waist.
1. 1 Minute Relaxation 1:06 This track gives you a quick script for relaxing the body, where tension and stress end up being stored. You can repeat this if you like.
2. 1 Minute Stress manager 1:00 The Stress Manager is an efficient meditation for addressing the mental and emotional components of stress. In 1 minute you will reconnect with your vitality, strength, composure, stability, and confidence. You will also begin to radiate patience, understanding, tolerance, and tranquility.
3. 5 Minute Relaxation 5:00 This is a longer, more relaxed version of the first track and includes soothing music, good for a 5 minute break. It leaves you feeling completely relaxed, alert, and alive. Add the following track for a 15 minute vacation!
4. At the Beach 9:48 This track is a short trip to your own private beach, complete with ocean sounds that will revitalize, empower, and fortify you. It allows you to escape for a few minutes, yet also return alert, refreshed, and invigorated.
5. Progressive Relaxation 13:02 A 13 minute relaxation with soft music that allows you a little more time to relax deeply. Add the next track for a 22 ½ minute vacation.
6. At the Beach 9:22 Similar to the previous "At the Beach" track except that it runs directly into the Ocean Waves track. This gives you a 19 ½ minute vacation. Combine it with both Ocean Waves and Progressive Relaxation for a 32 minute vacation. This is a good combination for deep relaxation and for relieving insomnia.
7. Bonus Track: Ocean Waves 10:08 Sensuous and powerful surf recorded on Assateague Island. You can set this track to repeat if you'd like an extended trip to the shore. Use it as white noise to help you block out annoying urban clamor at home or work. Good in the background to help you relax, or to fall asleep.
Additional tips: Breathe Deeply. Inhale deeply into the belly, then to the chest. Exhale, relax, let go. "Let go" means to release muscular tension, negative emotion, and mental distraction. This phrase is repeated to remind you to discharge patterns of physical, mental, and emotional resistance.
Tracks 1 and 2 can be repeated or combined for a 2 minute mind-body tune up.
Tracks 3 and 4 can be repeated or combined for a 15 minute vacation.
Tracks 5 and 6 can be repeated or combined for a 22 ½ minute vacation.
Tracks 6 and 7 can be repeated or combined for a 19 ½ minute vacation.
Tracks 5, 6, and 7 can be combined for a 32 minute vacation.
